Job Description

An exceptional independent restaurant in the Harrow area serving the very best in modern Italian cuisine. Working with a talented and renowned Head Chef, this is an amazing opportunity to join a hugely successful team and a chance to really flex your creative muscles!

Role

• Reporting directly to the Head Chef and Owner/Manager

• Responsible for the supervision and training of junior members of the brigade

• Daily changing menu

• Good level of creative input

• Integral part of the senior team

• 45-48 hours per week

• Restaurant closed on Sunday night and all day on Monday

• Portion/stock/wastage Management

• Good section rotation

• Liaising with suppliers including placing orders

• Maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times

Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie in a similar environment dealing with fresh ingredients (2AA Rosette standard)

• Will demonstrate excellent team skills including good training and motivational skills

• Will have good experience with wastage/stock management

• Will be fully proficient on every section of a professional kitchen

• Attention to detail is essential

• Good/advanced technical skills are required

• Knowledge of modern Italian cuisine is preferred but not essential

• Passion for and knowledge of fresh, seasonal ingredients

• Will show commitment and flexibility to the operation
